What data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and authentication credentials when you sign up or sign in (via Google OAuth or email/password).
- Billing data — subscription and payment information processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles PCI-DSS compliance.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and in-app actions, collected via server logs and first-party analytics to improve the product.
- Cookies — session cookies required for authentication, and optional analytics cookies. You can manage cookie preferences via the banner shown on first visit.
How we use your data
- To provide and maintain the Publite service.
- To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset, billing receipts).
- To improve the product based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Third-party services
We use the following sub-processors, each subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase / Firestore — authentication and database hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google Cloud Platform — infrastructure and hosting.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g. billing records for tax purposes, retained for up to 7 years).
Your rights
Under applicable data protection law (UK GDPR / GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email support@publite.io.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to understand how people use Publite. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner or by clearing your browser cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Publite after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
